Historical Note:
Dr. May Romm, arrived to Los Angeles from New York. From the inception into the Psychoanalytic Study Group, she has demonstrated the tendency to abridged the classical psychoanalytic treatment in terms of shortening the number of sessions per week.
She is commonly regarded to have been the architect of the Split in the Los Angeles Psychoanalytic institute and Society. She was alos behind the scene in deposing Dr. Ernst Simmel from all of his managerial position as President and the Cheir of Education Committee of the Psychoanalytic Study Group of Los Angeles.
